Congratulations Mark & Allison!
My cousin Mark married his awesome fiancée Allison Saturday, June 11. It was a beautiful wedding. I was in the bridal party and I'm so glad that I was able to be part of their special day.
Everything was wonderful. Except for the part where the party bus exploded while we were taking pictures at the Heidelberg Project... The bus broke down at some point when we were taking photos. Some sort of liquid was leaking from the undercarriage and there was steam coming from under the hood. The driver had the (not so) brilliant idea to loosen the engine cap. The steam started coming out faster and, suddenly, the cap flew off and there was a geyser of yellowish, greenish, grayish (it was just nasty looking) coolant erupting from the front end. We had to run away from the bus to avoid getting any of it on ourselves, and especially to keep it off of Allison's dress! Thankfully, the photographer had his own car and was able to take the bride and groom to the next location to finish up the pictures. It was a minor delay that left all of the bridesmaids and groomsman stranded with no way to get back to Belle Isle for about an hour. I do enjoy a good adventure, don't you?
